Philosophy

The curriculum in philosophy provides a broad general understanding of the work of major figures in the history of philosophy. Students gain familiarity with topics centering on contemporary philosophical thought, ethics, political philosophy, and logic. Students are also trained to think analytically and creatively about philosophical texts and issues, and express and defend their own ideas, orally and in writing.
