Latin American Studies
Latin American Studies is an interdisciplinary major that focuses on the history, culture, literature, and environment of Latin America, offering a broader perspective than is usually available through a departmental major. Spanish and Portuguese are required for the major, with an intermediate level of proficiency required in one of these languages and an elementary level required in the second.

- Latin American Studies 10* (minimum grade of C required)
- Demonstrated proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese equivalent to four college-level semesters
- History 8A* or 8B*
