Our drop-in advising hours are from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (Wednesday 1 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.). Scheduled appointments are available 2-4 p.m. You can either call us at (510) 642-1483 or come to 113 Campbell Hall to make your appointment. Office hours are weekdays 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., (Wednesday 1 p.m - 4 p.m.)

Computer Science

Computer science deals with the theory and technology of information processing. It includes such subfields as the theory of computation, design and analysis of algorithms, the architecture and logic design of computers, programming languages, compilers, translators and operating systems, numerical and symbolic computation, computer graphics, data bases, artificial intelligence, and natural language processing.

You probably have a lot of experience with different programming languages. However, you still need to take CS61A which offers you a solid introduction to the Computer Science program here. If you don't take the course in the summer, enroll in it for your first semester along with 1 other technical prerequisite.
