Computer Science

The Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science is offered by the College of Engineering for L&S students who are interested in a broader education in the sciences and arts than is possible with the Electrical Engineering degree designed for Engineering students. The major covers a wide range of areas in computer science, including theory of computation, design and analysis of algorithms, architecture and logic design of computers, programming languages, compilers, operating systems, scientific computation, computer graphics, databases, artificial intelligence and natural language processing.
